RAYNE – Police arrested a man and woman accused of duct taping and hog-tying a mentally deficient family member for her money and prescription drugs.

David Joshlin, 56, and Deborah Credeur, 61, are charged with false imprisonment, simple battery and theft.

“Based on the physical evidence found, the victim’s injuries and the suspects’ statements, the Rayne Police Department elected to arrest the couple,” Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly said.

Joshlin and Credeur allegedly physically abused the woman in her home while she was taped and hog-tied.

The couple each posted a $17,000 bond.
