An Amelia pair was arrested on a multitude of drug charges Wednesday.

Joshua Pellissier, 26, and Samantha Landreneau, 19, both of 183 Aucoin St., Amelia, were arrested at 1:14 p.m. for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Xanax, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping a disorderly place.

Pellissier additionally was charged with obstruction of justice and transactions involving drug proceeds, while Landreneau was charged with disturbing the peace.

St. Mary Multi-jurisdictional Narcotics Task Force agents executed a search warrant at the suspects’ home. During the investigation, agents seized drug paraphernalia, Xanax and a large amount of marijuana with a street value of $4,200 as well as $392 in cash, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.

Pellissier remained incarcerated in lieu of a $25,000 bond, while Landreneau had no bond set this morning.
