Items on the agenda include:
—Appointment of a new personnel director.
—Consideration of a proposed ordinance on $5.15 million in solid waste sales tax refunding bonds.
—Resolutions requesting the state to release 1 cent of the state fuel tax to local governments for use on road improvements; authorizing the participation in the Quality Jobs Program by Conrad Shipyard and Conrad Aluminum on three of their projects; approving applications for Wallop-Breaux funds for construction of fishing piers at Burns Point Recreation area near Centerville and the Jessie Fontenot Boat Launch Complex near Berwick; approving application for funds from the state Local Government Assistance Program’s to purchase a pumper truck for the St. Joseph-Gumpoint Fire Department and to construct a fire loop water line between the Siracusaville Community Center and St. Joseph Street.
—A request by Councilman David Hanagriff, District 3, to transfer $5,000 from the Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 10 three-tenths sales tax fund to Recreation District 7 for Biddy Basketball.

The regular meeting that begins at 6 p.m. on the fifth floor of the parish courthouse in Franklin will be preceded by a public hearing on the proposed ordinance at 5:45 p.m.
