Patterson Garden Club and the City of Patterson will host its Christmas Lighting Contest soon.

Judging for mobile homes will be held Dec. 14 from 6-8 p.m. Judging for houses will be held Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m.

There are three categories of judging: festive, simplicity and religious.

Mobile homes will be a single division for judging.

Homes will be divided into three divisions. Those divisions will be comprised of the eastern city limits to the eastern side of Catherine Street, the western city limits to the western side of Catherine Street, and subdivisions on the south side of the railroad tracks.

Division awards will be $50 for first place and $25 for second in each category.

Street numbers should be visible and lights should be on by 6 p.m. the nights of judging.

Last year’s winners that have not changed their lighting display are asked to not turn on their lights at that time.
