An academic pep rally was held at the Sam A. Siracusa Catholic Community Center Wednesday morning for the students of Central Catholic High School. The theme of the rally was “A Royal Salute to Academic Excellence,” which featured popular icons and characters of past and present. Awards presented during the rally included one million words read for the year, a final grade point average of 2.5 through 3.7 and meeting ACT score goals. Students, above, were dressed as the musical group “Spice Girls” during a performance. At left, Allie Landry, Emma Thomas, Emma Aucoin, Rebecca David and Lindsee Case, members of the Central Catholic High School Eaglette dance team, perform at the rally.
