PIERRE PART, La. -- Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office received the first of two separate complaints alleging that two girls where sexually molested by Nicholas Vaughn, 32, of 127 Riverbend St., Pierre Part.

Both of the girls would have been about 7 year olds at the time of the incidents, Waguespack stated in a news release.

Waguespack said an investigation resulted in arrest warrants for Vaughn for two counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated rape.

Vaughn was arrested on Thursday for one count of molestation and booked on additional count for molestation and aggravated rape Friday afternoon, the sheriff stated.

Vaughn is currently jailed at the parish’s detention center and bail has been at $600,000.
