Work began Tuesday on three of the 18 planned lake houses at Lake End Park. The three two-bedroom, two-bath units with living-dining and kitchen areas overlooking wrap-around decks will frame views of Lake Palourde. Covered parking and a large screened area for boils and family gatherings will complete each unit. Construction is being done by Louisiana Contracting Enterprises of Thibodaux, with architect Carl P. Blum of Morgan City is overseeing the project. Rentals are excepted to begin in October.
