Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests during the last 72-hour reporting period:

Andrew Stewart, 21, 262 Eves Street, Jeanerette, was arrested Friday at 1:20 p.m. in Baldwin, on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault and illegal use of a weapon. The warrant stems from an investigation into a fight that occurred on Eve Street in Jeanerette on June 25, during which a gun was fired into the air. Bond had not been set as of this morning. Stewart is the sixth suspect to be arrested in the investigation.

Billy Glen Haughton, 33, of 2008 Keith St. Lot 16, Morgan City, was arrested Friday at 3:10 p.m. on a charge of simple criminal damage to property. No bond had been set as of this morning.

Purvis Jackson, 36, of 449 Higgins Road, Sorrell, was arrested Friday at 9:30 p.m. on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,500.

A 12-year-old male was arrested Saturday at 3:46 p.m. on a charge of trespassing. He was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Tamara Newcomb, 19, of 2315 River Road, Berwick, was arrested Saturday at 10:59 p.m. on a charge of theft at Walmart in Bayou Vista. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Mario Alberto Salazar Medina, 50, of 1313 Barrow Street, Amelia, was arrested Sunday at 1:42 a.m. on two counts of simple battery after an alleged fight at Sandi’s Bar. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Caitlyn Manfre, 18, of Katy, Texas was arrested Sunday at 9:29 a.m. on U.S. 90 East in Bayou Vista, on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle and released on a summons to appear in court.

Michele Laplante, 48, of 155 Uranus Street, Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 12:57 p.m. at her residence on a charge of simple battery. She was released on a $500 bond.

Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Travis L. Layne Jr., 26, of New Iberia Sunday at 10 a.m. on warrants from Iberia Parish charging him with two counts of parole violation and failure to appear. He was turned over to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:

Theophilos James Porter, 20, of Prairie Road, Franklin was arrested Friday at 10:38 a.m., on warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear on charges failure to use a seat belt. He also was charged with driving under suspension and released after bonding out.

Thaiim Javon Guilbeau, 19, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 10:46 a.m., on warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear on charges of simple battery with medical attention, criminal trespass and careless operation. He was released after paying $450 in fines.

Eleasha Harris, 26, of Scottie Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 1:15 p.m. on a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Yvonne Perry Denlinger, 39, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 6:01 p.m., on warrants charging her with two counts of failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Bond was set at $200,000.

Shawn Paul Smith, 41, of Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 6:48 p.m., and charged with third-offense domestic battery. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Christopher Joseph Hines Sr., 31, of Robert Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 9:46 p.m., on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bond was set at $690.88.

Aaron Michael Lightfoot, 23, of Ninth Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 1:25 a.m., on charges of driving under suspension and open alcohol container. He was released on a $1,250.

Daniele Marie Wiltz, 25, of West Ibert Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 7:08 p.m., on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on traffic charges. She was additionally charged with resisting an officer by giving false information. Bond was set at $1,000.

Leonce Montrolle Perro, 21, of Third Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 9:08 p.m., on charges of driving under suspension and fifth-offense loud music.

He was released on a $1,000 bond.

David Davester Provost, 25, of Ash Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 11:40 p.m., on charges of possession of stolen things and third-offense possession of marijuana.

Bond had not been set as of this morning.
