St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of Alecia P. Joseph, 43, of 109 James St., Amelia, Thursday at 3:10 p.m. on a charge of theft. Joseph was allegedly observed attempting to leave Walmart in Bayou Vista without paying for 24 items in a shopping basket. The items are valued at $749.53. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Sheriff’s Narcotics Division agents reported the following arrests:

Carey Holden, 18, of 106 Oneida St., Jeanerette, was arrested Thursday at 1:29 p.m. on Henry Street in Patterson, on a charge of possession of Xanax with intent to distribute. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Travis Colbert, 33, of 2278 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Thursday at 4:41 p.m. on Chitimacha Trail on charges of resisting an officer by flight and warrants charging him with possession of marijuana, resisting an officer by giving false information, stop sign violation, no driver’s license, no registration, switched license plate, expired motor vehicle inspection, no insurance, resisting an officer and trespassing. Colbert was also wanted on warrants for failure to appear on charges of disturbing the peace, resisting an officer, second-offense possession of marijuana and criminal trespass. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:

Anthony Lee Wells, 59, of Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:11 p.m. on a warrant charging him with criminal trespass. He was released on a $500 bond.

Paul Edward Burgess, 51, of Sanders Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 7:37 p.m. on a charge of third-offense possession of drug paraphernalia and on a bench warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of violation of the zoning ordinance. Bond was set as $232.50.

Sadadra Boatman, 26, of Ash Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 7:53 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of simple battery. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
