Billy W. Smith, 50, of 329½ Clark St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Tuesday at 8:53 a.m. on warrants charging him with failure to appear on charges of speeding, failure to dim headlights and failure to change address. He was released on $614 bond.
Gilbert C. Howard, 43, of 215 Fourth St., Morgan City, was arrested Tuesday at 11:41 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. He was held on $14,921 bond.
Carlven C. Chapman III, 35, of 716 Louisiana St., Morgan City, was arrested Tuesday at 12:01 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of criminal trespassing. He was held on $2,500 bond.
Jacob Picard, 22, of 275 Easy St., Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 4:01 p.m. on warrants charging him with failure to appear on charges of resisting an officer, improper turn, child restraint violation, license plate light violation, suspended driver’s license and probation violation. No bond was set.
Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents reported the arrests of Brent Bergeron, 23, of 222 Lake Road, Franklin, and Zachery Cox, 24, of 712 Leonard St., Patterson, Tuesday at 5:09 p.m. Bergeron was charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and abuse of toxic vapors. He was released on a summons. Cox was charged with possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Marker Leon Broussard, 37, of Gum Street, Franklin, today at 12:35 a.m. on warrants charging him with domestic battery and failure to register as a sex offender. No bond was set.
