St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests this morning:

Roxanne N. Rivers, 24, of 134 Higgins Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Thursday at 11:49 a.m. on a charge of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile. An investigation into the hospitalization of an infant for injuries in January 2011 led to Rivers’ arrest. She reportedly admitted to shaking the infant. She was released on $10,000 bond.

Douglas Batiste, 59, of Labadieville, was arrested Thursday at 4:29 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace after he reportedly urinated in a slot machine at a casino in Amelia. He was released on a summons.

Dustin Vaughn, 35, and Alaina Frederick, 30, both of 115 Mars Road, were arrested Thursday at approximately 7 p.m. on charges of domestic abuse battery. No bonds were set.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported that Christopher Keith Silas, 34, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 12:06 p.m. by the 3rd Ward Marshal’s Office on warrants charging him with two counts of failure to appear. No bond was set.

Jason Floyd Clark, 23, of Joseph Street, Baldwin, was arrested Thursday at 2:24 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear. No bond was set.

Ray Jackson, 55, of Collins Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 3:22 p.m. on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things. He was released to appear in court.

Robert Wayne Provost, 47, of Gonsoulin Street, Jeanerette, was arrested Thursday at 3:36 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear. He was released to Iberia Parish authorities.

Tremaine Herbert Jones, 23, of Lee Street, Franklin, was arrested today at 7:38 a.m. on warrants charging him with second-offense domestic abuse battery, false imprisonment and improper telephone communication language. No bond was set.
