St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the past 24-hour reporting period:

John T. Jones, 21, of 128 Bray St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 4:05 p.m. on a warrant charging him with simple battery, disturbing the peace, aggravated assault, illegal use of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No bond was set.

Tara Loupe, 31, of 3011 Catherine St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 6:52 p.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Renita Harris, 30, of 1000 Birch St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 7:24 p.m. on charges of failure to yield, no driver’s license on person, driving under suspension and resisting an officer by giving false information. She was released on a $2,500 bond.

Florian Lopez Santos, 37, of 801 Waterworks Road, Amelia, was arrested Thursday at 9:57 p.m. on charges of failure to signal lane change, possession of cocaine and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. No bond was set.

Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force members reported the arrest of Kevin P. Mitchell, 42, of 2255 River Road, Berwick, Thursday at 11:33 a.m. on a warrant charging him with distribution of Lortab. He turned himself in and was released on a $25,000 bond.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Marvin E. Johnson, 45, of Franklin, Thursday at 8:06 p.m. on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault and was additionally charged with carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon. No bond was set.

Lema Boutte Charles, 25, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 4 p.m. on a charge of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. No bond was set.

Derrick G. Lovely, 34, of Bud Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 11:53 p.m. on warrants charging him with aggravated obstruction of a highway of commerce, resisting an officer by flight, suspended license, simple battery on an officer and resisting with force. He was additionally charged with aggravated obstruction of a highway of commerce, suspended license, reckless operation, two counts of stop sign violations, no insurance, second-offense possession of marijuana and aggravated flight from an officer. No bond was set.
