St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the past 24-hour reporting period:

Reneldo D. Moore, 59, of 111 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, was arrested Thursday at 9:36 a.m. on a charge of theft in connection with the theft of scrap metal from a Verdunville business. He was held on a $1,000 bond.

Henry J. Pierce, 33, of 1015 Third St., Lot 15, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 12:10 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for drug court. He was held on a $100,000 bond.

Eric D. Charles, 20, of 610 Egle St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 1:56 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for drug court. He was held on a $100,000 bond.

Laurie Waguespack, 33, of No. 8 Darce Drive, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:33 p.m. on a warrant charging her with simple battery. She was released on a $500 bond.

Quincy Johnson, 27, James D. Husband Jr., 19, both of 2618 Fifth St., Berwick, and Nunsue Jett, 44, of 2055 Allison St., No. 13, Morgan City, were arrested Thursday at 3:41 p.m. on charges of theft related to a piece of pipe reportedly stolen from a railroad. All were released on $500 bonds.

Sherkera Sylvester, 31, of 1225 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, and Talishia Sylvester, 26, of 1414 James St., Morgan City, were arrested Thursday at 6:02 p.m. on warrants charging them with simple battery. They were held on $500 bonds.

Buddy Burns, 52, of 8447 La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 8:24 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of issuing worthless checks. He was released on a $4,500 bond.

Ray Chaisson Jr., 20, of 4281 Francis St., Berwick, was arrested today at 3:01 a.m. on charges of reckless operation of a vehicle, possession of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia and abuse of toxic vapors. No bond was set.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Angela Gunner, 40, of Robertson Street, Franklin, Thursday at 11:08 a.m. on a bench warrant. She was released on a $159 bond.

Nicole Moore, 19, of Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 3:45 p.m. on a charge of accessory to theft by shoplifting. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Belinda Simmons, 37, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 3:45 p.m. on a charge of theft by shoplifting. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Latoya Peters, 26, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 3:45 p.m. on a charge of shoplifting. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Joshua Boudreaux, 26, of Cypress Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:54 p.m. on a warrant charging him with illegal possession of stolen things over $20,000. No bond was set.

Tyler Rogers, 17, of Hebert Street, Berwick, was arrested today at 1:26 a.m. on charges of underage driving under the influence, refusal to submit to chemical test, reckless operation, disturbing the peace intoxicated, simple criminal damage to property over $500, criminal trespassing, principal to hit and run driving and no seatbelt.

Joshua Francois, 20, of Greenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested today at 1:46 a.m. on charges of underage driving under the influence, reckless operation, simple criminal damage to property over $500, four counts of criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace intoxicated, hit and run driving, no seat belt and expired driver’s license. No bond was set.

Rogers and Francois reportedly caused a disturbance at a local convenience store by arguing with an employee. When officers arrived, the suspects had left and allegedly crashed into a fence on Cayce Street. One ran, and police apprehended him. The second was charged with moving violations for reportedly attempting to move the vehicle after the initial crash, and ran over the fence again.
