A Patterson man was arrested on numerous drug charges after a standoff with police.

No charges were filed in the standoff, Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle said. However, Alcina was turned over to the St. Mary Sheriff’s Department and taken to Teche Regional Medical Center for treatment. There, he was arrested after being released because he was in possession of a bottle of pills, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.

Jake Thibodeaux, 30, of Field Street in Bayou Vista was arrested Thursday night at 1204 Saturn Rd. in Bayou Vista on warrants for simple arson, operation of clandestine lab, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest stems from the investigation of a fire at Thibodeaux’s residence April 6, because items consistent with meth lab operations were found, the sheriff said.

Thibodeaux remained incarcerated this morning with no bond set.

Deputies were called to Lucy Lane where they learned that Konetski had been in an argument with another subject during which he threw a beer can at the other person and then swung a sword at him.
