A house on Prairie Road in Verdunville was destroyed by fire Friday. The house at 835 Prairie Road N. was the residence of Audrey Calhoun, according to neighbors. No one was at home when the fire began. Firefighters from the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the alarm shortly after 10 a.m. and received mutual aid at the scene from Franklin and Patterson departments. Additional information was not available this morning.
