This morning, Patterson High School students participated in the last Safe and Sober Prom campaign for this year. While students watched the re-enactment of what could happen to their peers due to drinking and driving, many became emotional. Participating agencies included State Police Troop I, Patterson police and fire departments, East St. Mary Rescue Team, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, the 16th Judicial District Attorney's Office, Franklin Marshal's Office, Acadian Ambulance, Hargrave Funeral Home, Mac Bruno Sound, MADD, the Red Ribbon Committee and St. Mary Parish School Board. Patterson High School will hold prom Saturday.
