MAMOU – Something was cooking at an 8th Street house and police allege it wasn’t gumbo.

Four people were arrested Monday after authorities, acting on a tip, raided the residence at 229 8th and allegedly found meth on the menu.

Items found included empty Sudafed containers, Curad packs, bottles, Draino, a funnel and tube, a pot and coffee filters and other materials commonly used to brew crystal meth.

Police said they also found a small amount of the illegal drug as well as several pipes used to smoke the stuff.

Booked were Tim Diaville of 229 8th street Mamou, Coty Manuel of 229 8th St. Mamou, Shannon Ardoin of 604 2nd St. Mamou, and Chassey Fontenot of 160 Parish Line Road Kinder.

Each was charged with Manufacturing Meth and Diaville and Manuel were also charged with possession of crystal meth.
