Richard Carl Pecot of Marco Island, Florida died January 28, 2013.
Dick was born in Franklin, Louisiana on December 1, 1924 and grew up at his family’s residence on Third Street. He was a son of Louis Octave Pecot and Christine Louise Martel of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Marguerite Pecot Singleton (Richard); Alma Perot; Louis Octave Perot Jr.; and Dorothy Pecot Norwood (Colvin G. “Pete”).
He is survived by his niece, Carol Ann Cram Kilburn (Jim) of Atlanta, Georgia; and nephews, G. Norwood Jr. of New Orleans and John Martel Norwood of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Dick was a graduate of Hanson Memorial. After retiring from the U.S. postal service in New York, Dick moved to Marco Island in 1987. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and was proud to have attained the rank of Fourth Degree Knight, following the example of his father, who was the State Deputy of the Louisiana Knights of Columbus in 1921.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 2 at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Road, Marco Island, Florida.
