Funeral services were held Monday, December 31, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. in Franklin, for Richard Lee Hanson, 51, a native of Northwood, North Dakota and longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, in St. Martin Parish.
Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiated the service.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Dupre Hanson of Franklin; two daughters, Brittany Richard and her husband, Sean, of Berwick and Shelbi Lyn Aucoin of Franklin; three granddaughters, Lexie Renee Richard, Leah Marie Richard and Lahna Joan Richard; two sisters, Helen Hanson Duhon and her husband, Woodley, of Franklin and Tammy Hanson of Franklin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Prentize and Harriet Cain Hanson; one daughter, Kathryn Rose Hanson; and one brother, Ricky Hanson.
A gathering of family and friends was held Monday at Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
