Miss Ruby Mae Colbert, 54, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at 4:47 p.m., at Lafayette General Medical Center following a short illness.

She is survived by her mother, Delores Sarah Colbert of Baldwin; two sons, Dennis Colbert and wife, Tawana, of Ashton and Anthony Colbert of Baldwin; one daughter, Shameka Marie Colbert and Edwin of Baldwin; six brothers, Clarence Colbert Sr. and wife, Dana; Leroy Colbert and wife, Recheal, Wilbur Colbert Sr. and wife, Patricia; and George Colbert of Baldwin; Michael Colbert and wife, Ladaisha of Grand Marais; and Eugene Colbert Jr. and wife, Debra of Jasper, Texas; three sisters, Linda Colbert and husband, Charles; Suzzette Colbert Jack and husband, Jack Sr. of Baldwin; and Lillie Bryant and husband, Jonathan, of Jasper, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Miss Colbert was preceded in death by her father and one sister.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 2 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Willie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery in Baldwin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
