The Morgan City Rotary Club is donating 500 books to eight local elementary schools. Each first-grade student will receive one of 13 different titles. Berwick Elementary first-graders received their books Monday and were treated to a short story time, with the book “Billy Bully” being read by Rotary members. Left is Rotary member Rev. Douglas Courville reading to students in Mrs. Smith’s class; right is Rotary President Lea Hebert reading to students in Mrs. Taylor’s class.
