Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 21-30, was kicked off Friday with the return of a Franklin son who spoke with local students at Franklin Junior High and West St. Mary (above) and Franklin high schools on how to succeed. Brian Collins, a 1976 graduate of Franklin High, stressed the importance of setting goals, staying focused, making life choices and being the best that one can be. Collins currently is employed by Corrections Corporation of America as executive vice president and chief human resources officer and was previously employed for 25 years in top management positions by Wal-Mart.
