There are new faces on the staff at The Daily Review.

James A. Robichaux has joined the staff as a reporter, and Crystal Thielepape is the staff photographer.

Robichaux, who was a staff writer and managing editor at The Nicholls Worth a decade ago, has returned to journalism after more than eight years as a teacher in Lafourche and Jefferson parishes.

While an active professional educator, Robichaux, from Lafourche Parish, also worked as a freelance writer for the Tri-Parish Times until mid-2005.

Since January 2010, Robichaux, also a photographer, has run his own New Orleans area photo essay web publication NOLA Post.

Robichaux will primarily cover general news and feature stories for The Daily Review.

Thielepape studied at the New York Institute of Photography and has taken a number of continuing education classes locally. She has been a professional photographer in the local area for six years.

“Photography is my passion, and I’m very thankful to have a chance to share that passion with everyone,” Thielepape said. “I find myself inspired at The Daily Review to capture the news for the residents of St. Mary Parish.”

Thielepape lives in Centerville with her husband Harry Thielepape and their two children.

“We welcome James and Crystal and their talent creativity to the Daily Review,” Managing Editor Mack Spencer said. “We look forward to the stories and viewpoints they will bring to the paper.”
