A local fast food employee was arrested after cutting a co-worker with a box cutter following an argument.

Shantell M. Franklin, 17, of Terrebonne Street in Morgan City was charged with aggravated battery at 10:43 p.m. Saturday.

The victim reported he had been cut while at work, sustaining a 2-inch laceration across his lower back area, according to Morgan City Police Chief Marc Folse.

Franklin was located on Terrebonne Street and booked into City Jail.

Clarence Francois III, 45, of Barrow Street in Morgan City was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Saturday for improper lane usage, suspended driver’s license, flight from an officer, resisting an officer and driving while intoxicated.

An officer attempted to stop Francois for a traffic violation in the Levee Road area. The subject refused to stop his vehicle and attempted to flee, resulting in a pursuit which went through several city blocks in a residential area. Francois finally stopped his vehicle at an apartment complex on Shaw Street and fled on foot, Folse said.

The officer caught Francois and took him into custody. The subject was found to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety and intoxilyzer testing registering .174 grams-percent. He was booked into the City Jail.

Ruth Edwards, 48, and Paul Annaloro, 41, both of Venus Street, Bayou Vista, were arrested at 10:34 p.m. Saturday for domestic violence.

Edwards was charged with domestic abuse battery, and Annaloro was charged with second-degree battery domestic abuse. A deputy was called to their home in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon his arrival, they were observed arguing.

The pair was arguing when Edwards attempted to leave the residence, and Annaloro grabbed her by the arm in an attempt to stop her. At that time, he was struck, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.

Annaloro was booked into the parish jail with no bond set, while Edwards was released on a summons to appear in court after being treated for her injury.

Also arrested by the MCPD were:

—Patricia S. Boatman, 59, Mallard Street in Morgan City at 5:49 p.m. Saturday on City Court warrant for criminal damage to property.

—Jake J. Gaudet, 36, Aucoin Street in Morgan City at 12:35 a.m. Saturday for two counts simple battery and disturbing the peace intoxicated.

—Kayla N. Leonard, 21, La. 70, Pierre Part, for possession of marijuana at 3:04 a.m. Sunday. Booked into city jail

—Jimmy R. Martin Jr., 46, Pride; and Kimberly Davis, 45, Denham Springs at 12:45 p.m. Sunday for simple criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office arrests in eastern St. Mary Parish:

—Sonia Webb, 49, of Trevino Street, Berwick at 9:19 a.m. Friday on a warrant for theft by shoplifting. Issued a summons to appear in court.

—Dwain C. Bercegeay, 54, of Teche Road, Bayou Vista Friday at 11:15 a.m. for violation of a protective order. Booked into the parish jail with no bond set.

—Roxanne Halvorson, 50, of Shivers Lane, Patterson Friday at 11:09 p.m. for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Posted $250 bond and was released.

Berwick Police Department:

—Germany Broussard, 32, Garber Street, Morgan City, arrested Friday afternoon, simple battery and unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling, incarcerated in the parish jail with no bond set.

—Thurlow Mayer, 20, Sydney Jo Lane, Berwick, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, arrested Saturday at 12:11 p.m. Incarcerated in lieu of $3,500 bond.

—Felton Charles, 29, Second Street, Berwick, arrested Saturday afternoon driving under suspension. Posted bond of $1,000 and released.

Patterson Police Department:

—Jorge Fernandez, 36, Catherine Street, Patterson, simple battery. Incarcerated with no bond set.
