Louisiana Press Association contest awards
Photographer Michelle Blanc produced four award-winning entries in this year’s press contest, including first place for best sports photo. She also won second and third-place awards for best feature photo and a third-place award for best news photo.
Reporter Jean Kaess won two awards, including second place for best continuing coverage of a single event, schools Superintendent Don Aguillard’s application to lead Lafayette schools; and third place for best feature story, on former teachers Linda Thomas and Diane Martin and the publication of their book of education anecdotes, “Roast and Toast.”
