Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held Wednesday for Southwest Women Empowerment Ministry at 215 Willow St. in Franklin. St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce members, local officials and guests joined the group to commemorate the opening. SWEM’s mission is to inspire, educate and empower individuals to achieve spiritual, political, social and economic strength through combined volunteer efforts and partnerships to enrich their local community. It was founded by Evangelist Patricia Jones-Muse.
