September 12, 1957 — January 19, 2013

Ricky Lee Barnes, 55, a resident of Centerville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at his home.

Ricky was born Sept. 12, 1957, in Morgan City, the son of James and Lorena Bonin Barnes.

Ricky loved his job of being a boat captain and when he wasn’t on the boat you could always find him on his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, but especially his granddaughters as they were his pride and joy. He was always there for anyone in need and he always lived his life to the fullest.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Amy Barnes and son-in-law, Jason Rosier, of Slidell; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Destiny Barnes, both of Slidell; one brother, Barry Barnes and wife, Clarice, of Farmerville; one sister, Ericka Barnes of Morgan City; companion, Pattie Vincent of Morgan City; two nieces, Kristie Barnes and Erin Barnes Romero; one sister-in-law, Vanda Barnes; and his beloved best friend and dog, Nico. He is also survived by many lifelong friends and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Barnes and Lorena Bonin Barnes; wife, Debbie Barnes; one brother, Terry Barnes Sr.; one nephew, Terry Barnes Jr.; and his best furry friend, Billy Bear.

Memorial visitation and services will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home.
