Robert E. “Sug” McCain passed away peacefully on March 2, 2013, at the age of 67 years.

Beloved husband of Lynn W. McCain; father of Denise (Robert) LaCombe and Madonna (Danny) O’Brien; and stepfather of Jamie (Lance) Ragas, James W. Minton Jr. and Jan (C.J.) Buras.

Robert is the son of the late Otto and Ernestine McCain; brother of Burke (Donna) McCain, Gary (Beth) McCain and Judy (John) Kailing; and brother-in-law to the late Marilyn and Sidney Mabile.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lyn A. Clark McCain; and a sister, Norma Jean.

He also is survived by 12 grandchildren, B.J., Mike E., Alec, Felicity, Lane, Lance, Jacob, Carson, Landon, Caitlynn, Chauvin and Camdin’, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong resident of Buras and relocated to Morgan City in 2005.

Visitation will be Thursday at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m.

Robert will be laid to rest in Buras at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery.
