Kailyn Marie Roy and Douglas William Daniel exchanged wedding vows and entered into marriage in an outdoor evening service at the Always and Forever Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 19, 2011.

The bride is the daughter of Crystal and Maxie Roy Jr. of Centerville and the groom is the son of Karen and David Daniel of Lafayette. The bride is the granddaughter of Sandra Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Marilu) Cooper, all of Morgan City. The bride’s paternal grandparents are the late Joseph and Marie Roy. The groom is the grandson of Willanna Curley James of Lafayette and the late Sidney Alfred Curley. The groom’s paternal grandparents are the late David and Georgie Daniel formerly of Saint Francisville.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Hanson Memorial High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of New Orleans. She received her master’s degree in social work from Tulane University. She is employed as a social worker in New Iberia. The groom is a 2002 graduate of St. Thomas Moore in Lafayette as well as a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is employed as an accountant in Lafayette.
