Russell Trosclair Sr., 76, a native of Chackbay and resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.

Russell is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vina Mae Scully Trosclair; three sons, Terry Scully and his wife Verna of Bridge City, Tommy Trosclair and his wife Mouna of Patterson, and Russell Trosclair Jr. and his wife Diana of Patterson; and one daughter, Lilly Trosclair Richard and her husband Jimmy of Patterson. Russell is also survived by two brothers, Emmette Trosclair and his wife Diane of Chackbay and Robert Trosclair and his wife Clare of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, Brandie, Terry, Hope, Heather, Hailey, Heidi, Hannah, Tommy Jr., Keith, Logan, Bailey and Triston; and six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dillion, Austin, Bentler, Jafmine and Josh.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, D’ozilien and Louise Rodrigue Trosclair; and a sister-in-law, Miriam Douchon.

Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Twin City Funeral Home, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and resumes Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Twin City Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Funeral services will commence at 3 p.m. with Father Greg Fratt officiating. Russell will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
