A little holiday business is on the agenda for today’s meeting of the St. Mary Parish School Board.

The winner and honorable mentions of the board’s Christmas Card Design Contest will be announced.

As for regular business, an executive session is being held to discuss the professional competence of an employee. A similar session was held at the November meeting. It is unknown whether the two are related.

Also on the agenda are repairs to the Patterson High School generator at a cost of $5,000, a fire suppression system at LaGrange Elementary in Franklin for $6,000, various general fund designations and acceptance of the audit report for the fiscal year ended June 30.

The board also will rescind its public hearing set for Jan. 12 and instead schedule another special session for Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. to receive redistricting plan 4 from its demographer.

The meeting is slated for 5 p.m. today at the Central Office Building in Centerville and is open to the public.
