Shirley was born on Feb. 23, 1936, in Orange, Texas, the daughter of Paul and Enola Blanchard Prouse.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Norris Adams of Bayou Vista; two sons, Craig Adams of Stephensville and Ronald Adams and his wife, Susie, of Berwick; one grandson, Travis Adams of Berwick; one granddaughter, Evyn Adams of Berwick; two brothers, Dennis Prouse of Vidor, Texas, and Charles Prouse of Bridge City, Texas; and one sister, Wanda Prouse Pike of Newton, Texas.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Prouse and Enola Blanchard Prouse; one granddaughter, Britni Adams; and one brother, Nicholas Prouse.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Shirley will be entombed in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum following services.
