Joe Sanford Jr. and Chloe Felterman were crowned 2012 Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival king and queen Saturday. The coronation ball was held at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Sanford, owner of Morgan City Rentals, is a 1983 graduate of Morgan City High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University in 1991. He is president of St. Mary Industrial Group, is a Louisiana Association of Business and Industry board member and is past president of Central Catholic School board, Atchafalaya Chapter of American Petroleum Institute board and Petroleum Club board. He and his wife, Gina, have three children. Felterman, 19-year-old daughter of Michael and Sharon Felterman of Patterson, is a graduate of CCHS in Morgan City and attends LSU where she majors in English and minors in theater. The festival is scheduled Thursday through Monday.
