LAFAYETTE – No sign of Micky Shunick, now missing five days, has turned up despite searches by countless volunteers, trained dogs and the posting of a reward.

Tuesday night, that bounty was increased from $10,000 to $20,000 for information leading to the missing woman.

Her sister, Charlene Shunick, clings to her optimism, saying she thinks Micky is alive wherever she is.

The 22-year-old disappeared after last being seen about 2 a.m. on Ryan Street, heading home on a bicycle.

Police said they continue to following leads and information regarding the woman.

A vigil for the woman was held Tuesday night.

Shunick is 5 feet one inch tall and weighs 115 pounds. Her hair is light blonde.

When she biked into the night, she was wearing a pastel multi-colored striped shirt, light-wash skinny jeans and gray shoes and had a brown leather backpack purse with her.
