FRIERSON – Three women from outside the U.S. and three men are charged with operating a brothel in this DeSoto Parish community.

Police said the operation, which reportedly catered to natural gas pipeline workers.

It was operated in a mobile home and two travel trailers. Investigators said hundreds of condoms and thousands of dollars were seized when warrants were served after a four-month investigation.

Investigators are still trying to determine if the women willingly participated in prostitution or were coerced to offset costs of being smuggled illegally into the area. They are from Mexico, Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

A neighbor contacted police. Subsequent surveillance, police said, indicated the women had sex inside the mobile home while children played outside.

The women are charged with prostitution and the men with pandering and enticing persons into prostitution. All were booked into the DeSoto Detention Center.
