From Staff Reports

Rain continued to disrupt the local Swampland Baseball season as all four games scheduled for Thursday were rained out.

Patterson was slated to host South Louisiana Bank (South Terrebonne), while Skipper’s Sporting Goods (Morgan City), Taco Bell (Berwick) and Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic) were slated to travel to Trinity Tools (Covenant Christian), Jester’s Court (Central Lafourche) and Robichaux Ford (Vandebilt Catholic), respectively.

Skipper’s game against Trinity Tools will be made up on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Houma with a varsity game only. Plans for the other rainouts have not been announced.

Saturday’s game will be the second for Skipper’s in as many days as the local squad will host Synergy Bank (E.D. White) today at Tiger Diamond, with junior varsity set for 5 p.m. and varsity to follow at 7 p.m. Skipper’s will be able to resume night games now that Tiger Diamond’s lights have been fixed.

In a makeup game on Wednesday, Synergy Bank routed Taco Bell, 12-3, in Thibodaux. No individual stats were available.
