Members were treated to beef stew prepared by Floyd Emile and his crew. Meal sponsor was Teche Federal Bank. Teche Federal’s Elaine Gussman, vice president and branch lender; and Aaron Ortego, assistant vice president and branch sales, addressed members in regard to the benefits available at the bank.
AARP expressed thanks to Teche Federal for its continued support.
Treasurer Ann Lombardo conducted the meeting.
Members learned that President Paul Vella had knee replacement surgery and Vice President Curtis Leonard had a hip replacement and that both are doing well and look forward to a speedy recovery.
For entertainment, the senior citizen dance troupe Les Danseurs De Bonne Terre from Thibodaux performed a number of routines. The troupe also competes in the Senior Olympics and performs at area social events.

Birthdays and anniversaries for April were celebrated with cake provided by M C Bank followed with coffee courtesy of Mid South Bank.
