St. Mary AARP meets the first Monday of each month at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center, home of St. Mary AARP, on Chennault Street in Morgan City.
Officers and board members were elected during the Nov. 7 St. Mary AARP meeting. More than 400 members were in attendance at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center, home of St. Mary AARP, in Morgan City.

Selected to serve a two-year term as officers were Paul Vella, president; Curtis Leonard, vice president; Ann Lombardo, treasurer; Jane Aucoin, recording secretary; and Joe Pizzuto, correspondence secretary.

Eight board members will also serve a two-year term. They are Linda Darce, Linda Eues, Jerry Fabre, Pat Fryer, Gene Gaudet, Myrt McNemar, Alicia Robicheaux and Carol Francis.

The meeting’s meal was purchased by Hargrave Funeral Home and prepared by Sterling Fryou and the “Mac McNemar Team.” A chicken and sausage gumbo and potato salad was served.

Entertainment for the gathering began with the musical talents of Hubert Francis prior to the start of the meeting. Les Danseur de Bonne Terre, a dance troupe from Houma, provided the meeting’s entertainment.

Birthday cake was donated by M C Bank in honor of all November birthday and anniversary celebrants. Coffee was provided courtesy of Mid South Bank and Maison Jardin.
