—Dale R. Fromenthal, 56, of Bowman Street, Morgan City, arrested at 5:44 p.m. Monday charged with theft by shoplifting at Cannata’s Supermarket. Released after posting bond of $681.
—Aldwin Cox, 46, of Union Street, Morgan City, arrested at 9:47 a.m. Monday at his home on warrants issued by city court for prohibited animal in the city (pit bull) and cruelty to animals. Released on bond of $682 on each count.
—Sean M. Landry, 24, of Fifth Street, Berwick, and Dustin J. Landry, 24, of Park Street, Patterson, arrested at 3:09 a.m. Tuesday in the Waffle House parking lot for disturbing the peace. Both released on $482 bond.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests in the area overnight, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—David Picou Jr., 17, of Delmar Road, Bayou Vista, arrested at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on charges of counterfeiting and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers first made contact with Picou for playing loud music from his vehicle. Rolling papers and 45 counterfeit $100 bills were discovered. A search of Picou’s residence followed, and additional counterfeit money and equipment used to make it were found there. Incarcerated in the parish jail with no bond set.
—Tracy Silva, 47, of Halsey Street, Morgan City, arrested at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday on charges of failure to appear for theft. Incarcerated with a $50,000 bond.
Tuesday, due to incorrect information provided by a law enforcement agency, The Daily Review erroneously reported that Jerry Landry, age 33, was arrested for careless operation with a hit and run. The Jerry Landry arrested for this incident is 79 years old, not 33.
