Work is continuing on the Cajun Coast Visitor’s and Convention Bureau’s Welcome and Interpretive Center in Morgan City. The facility, on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at U.S. 90, will feature glass walls to display the wetlands between it and Lake Palourde. Aegis Construction is the contractor on the $3.89 million project. It is funded with capital outlay, local funds and Atchafalaya Basin program funds.
