The free Surviving the Holidays seminar will be held Nov. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church located at 901 Fig St. in Morgan City. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
Childcare is available for children ages nursery through fifth grade upon request.
The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance.
Featured topics include:
—What emotions to expect during the coming days.
—How to prepare for the holidays.
—How to manage relationships and holiday socials.
—How the holidays can help you heal.
Those who attend will receive a free book with more than 30 daily readings providing additional insights and ideas on holiday survival.
