Mrs. Thelma Watson Johnson, 60, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 10:43 a.m., at her residence following a short illness.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Johnson Jr. of Baldwin; her father, Henry Watson Sr. of Baldwin; two sons, Torrance Johnson and wife, Patrice, of Dallas Texas and Dondre Johnson of Baldwin; one daughter, Tameka Necole Johnson of Franklin; four brothers, Henry Watson Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, Frank Watson of Redwood, California, Ivory Lee Watson of Franklin and Charles Lee Watson of Kansas City, Kansas; five sisters, Mary Brockett of Atlanta, Georgia, Joyce Rattler of Plano, Texas, Doris Notto of Little Rock, Arkansas, Patty Bolden of New Iberia and Barbara Watson of Lake Charles; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her mother.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in New Iberia.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Allen Ray Randle officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery in Baldwin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
