HOUMA, La. -- suspect in a Sunday home invasion and attack on a woman in the 7000 block of Shrimper’s Row in Dulac is at large, said Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said.

During an investigation Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives found that a man forcefully entered a trailer and attacked the female inside. The victim and suspect were previously involved in a relationship and had recently ended that relationship Larpenter reported.

The victim sustained injuries to her face and was treated at a local hospital and released the same day, he said.

Detectives have obtained warrants for Derrick Lee Celestine, 34, who is known as “Chubby.” Celestine is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 225 pounds.

His last known address is the 4500 block of Grand Caillou Road.

Celestine’s warrant is for one count of home invasion. His bond has been set at $100,000.
