Two people were arrested this week following in investigation into thefts from a local storage facility.
Rayville Chief of Police Willie Robinson said two Rayville residents reported burglaries of their storage compartments. Investigator Jerry Walter spoke with the victims and conducted a thorough investigation to gather evidence.
Later that day, a witness came forward to speak with investigators and gave details leading to the location of the items stolen from one of the storage compartments. Walker accompanied the victim to the location where the property was identified and seized. The stolen property was later returned to the victim.
Arrested in connection with the thefts were Willie Anderson, 35, of 123 Draper St., Rayville, who was charged with two counts of simple burglary; and Cynthia Brisco, 54, of 123 Draper St., Rayville; who was charged with illegal possession of stolen things.
Robinson commends his officers and investigators for their commitment and dedication to solving major crimes within the Town of Rayville.
“Those of you who are involved in criminal activity of any type in Rayville should beware,” Robinson said. “You will be located and arrested. There is no place in Rayville for the crimes you arc committing.”
