Hilary Thibodeaux, executive director of the St. Mary Levee District, will be the guest speaker at the St. Mary Industrial Group’s monthly meeting Monday.

Thibodeaux was the business line manager with Shaw Coastal’s Houma office before accepting his current position.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, as well as Louisiana and Georgia licenses as a registered professional engineer.

Before joining Shaw, Thibodeaux worked for the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources’ Coastal Restoration Division (1997-2004) where he gained experience in project management, feasibility studies, regulatory permitting and construction administration, among other things.

He is a member of the Louisiana Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers.

The meeting is slated for Monday at noon at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City. Members are urged to attend.
