Three arrested Monday

Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents nabbed three persons Monday evening during an attempted traffic stop. Agents report they were patrolling on Martin Luther King Street in Baldwin and observed a vehicle with a burnt taillight. When the agent attempted to stop the vehicle it fled and was chased into Iberia Parish. The driver reportedly threw a bottle out of the vehicle during the pursuit. The vehicle was finally stopped on Pellerin Street in Jeanerette. Arrested at 5:21 p.m. Monday were, from left, Renwic White, 20, of 1325 Martin Luther King St., Baldwin; Broderick Colbert, 23, of 1203 Pellerin St., Jeanerette; and Brian Wilson, 21, of 218 Jolivette St., Baldwin. White was charged with aggravated flight from an officer, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics in the presence of a juvenile, littering, no driver’s license, no insurance, switched license plate, no inspection sticker, taillight violation and failure to comply with drug court warrants. Colbert was charged with second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics in the presence of a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and open alcohol container. Wilson was charged with possession of marijuana, obstruction of justice, possession of narcotics in the presence of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. No bonds were set. A 16-year-old juvenile in the vehicle was not arrested.
