Despite the weather, Mardi Gras parades rolled in the Tri-City area during the weekend. While Adonis and Galatea rolled on schedule, Dionysus was rained out and forced to move to Sunday. Also, Dionysus had to alter its route because of float height — they weren't able to fit under the Long-Allen La. 182 bridge at Second Street in Morgan City. By parade time, 2 p.m. Saturday, the Morgan City area had received nearly 1.75 inches, indicated both by a reader in Lakeside Subdivision and the meteorologists at WAFB channel 9. Still to parade are the Krewe of Amani today at 2 p.m. in Patterson, Krewe of Hephaestus at 2 p.m. in Morgan City Tuesday and Siracusa/Greenwood, also at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
