JENNINGS – Two unrestrained Texas women died when ejected from a vehicle that rolled over several times on I-10 Easter afternoon.

State Police said Jeremy Williams, 22, of Port Arthur was driving west when a rear tire blew out, sending the vehicle into the median before it flipped over and over and over near the U.S. 165 intersection.

Williams was wearing a seat belt and sustained just minor injuries in the crash, but three of his occupants, including an 11-month-old child were not properly restrained and were ejected.

The child was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, but the two other passengers did not survive.

The victims have been identified as Gwendolyn Jernigan, 65, and Toya Dynae Williams,22, also of Port Arthur.
