Wednesday, on day four of the six-day Tour du Rouge, riders cycled from Abbeville to Morgan City, a total of 76.6 miles. They stopped in Franklin for lunch at Parc sur la Teche, provided by Cypress Bayou Casino. This is the fourth year in a row that Franklin has hosted the riders for lunch on the fourth day of the ride. Riders continued on to Morgan City, stopping for the night at the Holiday Inn. Tour du Rouge is an annual bike tour from the Bayou City of Houston to the Crescent City, New Orleans. This six-day, push-your-limits ride along the Gulf Coast helps raise awareness and funds for American Red Cross Disaster Preparedness along the Gulf Coast. Below, Franklin Mayor Raymond Harris welcomes riders as they arrive at Parc sur la Teche.
