A load of toys and $820 in cash were delivered by Franklin Republican Women to the St. Mary Marine Corps League for its Toys for Tots drive. The donations were collected during the club’s Christmas get together at the Fairfax House. The FRW program honors the memory of the late David H. Stiel Jr. and his work with the Toys for Tots program. With donations from other organizations and individuals, the Corps provided 431 Franklin area children with three toys each for a total of 1,293 gifts. Counting the Morgan City area, 957 kids in St. Mary Parish benefited from the drive.
